Ribery has spent most of his career as a winger and shone on the flanks as he helped Bayern to their treble win last season.
However, he has hinted that he may be set for a shift in roles under Guardiola, who has previously implemented a fluid style at Barcelona.
"He asked me which is my preferred position and if I could possibly play as a No10," Ribery was quoted as saying on L'Equipe."
I told him that I can play anywhere in attack. He has lots of ideas."
"Guardiola is extremely motivated. You feel exactly what he wants to do. He will make us even better," he added.
Ribery has recently extended his contract with Bayern by four years.
