Rode has an agreement to join Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich at some point in the future, but Bruchhagen says he expects the Germany Under-21 player to see out his contract with Frankfurt.
"Rode intends to move to Bayern in 2014," Bruchhagen told Sport1 television.
"He has told me that he will fulfil his contract, so he will be staying with us until 2014 for sure.
"We have not yet given up hope that he will stay beyond that. A young player could always change his mind."
Rode is set to be playing Europa League football for the Eagles next season after a 1-1 draw against Werder Bremen on Saturday gave them a two-point advantage over Hamburg going into the final weekend of the season.
Their seven-goal superior goal difference also means that a draw against Wolfsburg next Saturday will probably be enough to see them finish sixth, although Bruchhagen rued a missed opportunity to wrap up a place in Europe on Saturday.
"It would have been nice if we had taken the last step," he said. "We had the chance to win it, but Bremen played well too."
