Alongside Real Madrid and Barcelona, Bayern Munich are one of the favourites to win the Champions League this season.
Although the La Liga sides boast Ballon d'Or winner Lionel Messi, in addition to award nominees Cristiano Ronaldo and Andres Iniesta, Hoeness told ESM that he was not convinced the Spanish clubs had better players than Bayern.
"I think there are only one or two Barca and Real players who would start for Bayern," Hoeness stated.
When pressed for names of the men he considered worthy of playing for the Bundesliga leaders, the Bayern president chose two players from Barcelona.
"Which Spanish players I would like to bring to Bayern? [Andres] Iniesta and Jordi Alba," Hoeness revealed.
"However, we already have very good players at Bayern."
