Robben was blighted by a series of injuries last year, with a hip injury first keeping him on the sidelines before suffering a back injury at the start of the season.

Robben's comeback from the injury was short-lived as he was struck by another muscle injury which saw him sit out Bayern's season until 2013, and he is now determined to make a comeback when the Bavarians return from the winter break.

"I basically made a good start and had a superb pre-season in Trentino. I'm in good shape," he told Bayern's offical website, "The problems in the first half of the season appeared overnight, so I'm very, very wary."

"It was very uncomfortable," he confessed, "it's not been a nice season for me so far, but at last I'm a full member of the team again."

Bayern are set to face Greuther Furth on January 19 in their first match back from the winter break and Robben is determined to make full use of the time to train up for it.

"We have two-and-a-half weeks to prepare for the restart. I want to train well, and maybe get a little playing time in our friendlies," he said, "although I need to acclimatise to the much greater workload in training first. I'm completing every exercise, twice a day, and that's basically new for me."
