The former Borussia Monchengladbach player spent three seasons as an integral part of Lucien Favre's squad, before leaving for Bayern Munich in the summer.
Establishing himself in the heart of the Bayern defence, Dante has managed to displace the likes of Daniel van Buyten, Holger Badstuber and Jerome Boateng as Heynckes' first choice central defender, despite being at the club for less than six months.
Speaking to Bayern's official website, Heynckes revealed his appreciation for certain aspects of Dante's play.
"If Dante is fit and healthy, he plays,” he stated.
"He has great anticipation, he reads the play and he's a big personality."
Although he has earned his manager's favour, the 29-year old insisted that the Bavarians' run of good form was a result of the efforts of everyone on the team.
"We're a super-collective, and that's the only reason I look good at the back," Dante pointed out.
"I can’t ease off now. My hopes are rising, simply because I'm playing for Bayern."
Bayern Munich travel to Augsburg for their Bundesliga fixture this weekend.
