Bas Dost sends goals warning

Wolfsburg striker Bas Dost has warned Borussia Monchengladbach, and the rest of the Bundesliga, that he is now firing on all cylinders.

Naldo of Wolfsburg celebrates his goal with Bas Do

The Dutch forward has scored five goals in his last five games since Felix Magath was replaced by Lorenz-Gunther Kostner as coach, and ahead of tomorrow night's trip to Gladbach, he believes he is now approaching his best form.

"Things are going really well for me at the moment," he said. "But things can still get better.

"I am in a very good condition right now and that helps me. The pace of the game is higher here than in Holland, but I think I have now really found my feet here in Wolfsburg."

One of those goals came on Saturday in a 1-1 draw with Werder Bremen, a result which edged the Wolves three points clear of the relegation zone.

Now they want to create a more comfortable gap with a victory which would take them above their hosts.

"We are heading in the right direction and are now focusing all of our attention on Gladbach," said defender Naldo.

"We need to give it all we've got again and take three points away with us from Gladbach."

Gladbach also drew 1-1 at the weekend with a late equaliser from Patrick Herrmann earning them a point at Augsburg.

"It wasn't easy after falling behind, but we showed our morale as we have done often lately," said Herrmann on his club's website.

"It would be nice if we could win a few games in a row. We play Wolfsburg next so we can try again to get three points there."
