Leverkusen host Freiburg for their first home game of the season tomorrow and Hyypia insists he and the team have learnt from the mistakes made in Frankfurt.
"It is possible that it would make sense to fill one or two positions against Freiburg with different players compared to Frankfurt," he said.
"We have worked on our defeat during the week and spoken clearly about the things which did not work.
"We just need to be more relaxed in our minds against Freiburg."
Hyypia expects to face similar opponents to last week, a side keen on creating an upset at the BayArena.
"Freiburg will be very aggressive here," he said at the pre-match press conference.
"They will try to disturb us early and we will have to show the same level of passion and commitment as our opponents, and be better in possession."
Freiburg will be without Jan Rosenthal, who has been ruled out for the next three months after undergoing surgery, but coach Christian Streich says he will not be replaced.
"I have one, two or three too many players," he said. "The squad is relatively big as it is."
Instead, Streich was today trying to offload a player or two with Beg Ferati favourite to leave, having received offers from his native Switzerland.
