Wolfsburg to send Sissoko on loan
Wolfsburg are to loan right-back Ibrahim Sissoko to Panathinaikos for next season after he found first-team opportunities hard to come by in the Bundesliga.
The 20-year-old was signed by Wolfsburg in January from Academica de Coimbra and, although he was unable to make the breakthrough last season - playing just twice, the Wolves are keen to keep hold of him for the future.
"Ibrahim Sissoko should gain some match practice at a top club," said Wolfsburg manager Felix Magath.
"Jesualdo Ferreira's side finished runners-up last season and if he is able to make the breakthrough into this side, then this is the right step for him to take now.
"In the mid-term, he should strengthen our team."
Sissoko has initially joined the Greek club for one year but that deal could be extended by a further 12 months.
