The Bavarians will have a big fortnight ahead as they prepare for a DFB Pokal final match against Borussia Dortmund and a Champions League final match against Chelsea.

Gomez is determined to end the season on a positive note by winning both titles.

"We have to give our utmost to win both finals,"he said in a press conference, "Dortmund might have won the last four games against us, but the final is played on neutral ground and it's all or nothing. We are desperate to win our first title of the season.

Chelsea are in a similiar situation to Bayern as the Blues are also chasing a domestic cup as well as the Chammpions League title. Gomez believes that the match will be a tight affair despite Bayern Munich having the home advantage at the Allianz Arena.

"We are going into the Champions League final to win it, regardless of whether Chelsea are having a good or a bad season. I'd say it's 50-50 at this point who will win it."

The Germany international is currently trailing Schalke striker Klaas-Jan Huntelaar by one goal in the Bundesliga goalscoring charts, but Gomez has insisted that he is not concerned whether he wins the award.

insists that he is not gunning for the golden boot award going into the final Bundesliga fixture this weekend.

He said in the press conference ahead of the match against Cologne: "I have never thought about the top-scorer title when I sat on the bench this term. I have already won the award once.

"Of course, I do want to score, but its not a duel between us two. I won't just wait on the edge of the box until I get a chance."
