Scoring13 goals for Borussia Dortmund this season, Kagawa has played an important role in the club's successful defence of their Bundesliga title. As such, it is unsurprising the club are desperate to extend the Japanese player's contract, reportedly offering to double his wages in hopes of convincing him to stay at the Westfalenstadion.
However, his contributions to Dortmund's successful campaign have not gone unnoticed by the rest of Europe, and Zorc has revealed that the German club face an uphill battle to keep the attacking midfielder.
"I last week held talks with Shinji and his advisers, to date, he is not willing to extend his contract with Borussia Dortmund," he shared with Sky90.
"He has a specific career plan and that involves playing in England. It must be accepted, but it is not good [for the club]."
Bundesliga champions Borussia Dortmund will host Freiburg for their next fixture this Saturday.
