After starting the campaign with two wins, the 3-0 home reverse to Eintracht Frankfurt has set alarm bells ringing on the banks of the river Weser.
The club endured its worst campaign for 14 years last term and Dutt is determined to get to the bottom of his side's dip in form.
"On the whole, I'm pretty angry about the performance," Dutt said.
"We didn't play like a home team. I'm going to have to talk about this in the coming days with every single player."
Bremen's director of sport Thomas Eichin was even more critical with his assessment of a "grim performance", according to Kicker magazine.
"I'm hugely disappointed about the first 20 minutes," Eichin continued on Sky television.
"We played with absolutely no courage and you can't do that at home."
Victory was a welcome boost for Frankfurt as they prepare to make their return to continental competition in the Europa league on Thursday.
Frankfurt host Bordeaux and coach Armin Veh believes Europe "can look forward to having Eintracht Frankfurt".
"We always have a full, electric stadium and this win has definitely done us good for the difficult weeks to come," he said.
