Borussia Dortmund head coach Peter Bosz admits he wants to see a lot of improvement from his team when they take on FC Magdeburg in the DFB-Pokal on Tuesday.
BVB have been struggling for form in recent weeks, failing to find victory in their last three games across all competitions. In those three outings, they lost against RB Leipzig before draws against APOEL and Eintracht Frankfurt.
Bosz is determined to turn things around and has eyed the cup-tie with Magdeburg as an opportunity to reignite their campaign with a positive performance.
“I’m expecting an intense match, you could also say a top match,” he told the club’s official website. “I’m expecting an opponent that will really go for it and be brimming with energy.
“Lots of things that need to be done better, that’s clear. It’s the minor details that decide a game. We have a style of play that works. You could see that at the start of the season.
“We will not change our style of play. Should we manage to get the win in Magdeburg tomorrow, it will help the team out in the Bundesliga too.”
