VfL Wolfsburg have bolstered their defence in the wake of the injury suffered by John Anthony Brooks by signing centre-back Marcel Tisserand on loan.
Brooks picked up a long-term injury last week in Wolfsburg’s opening Bundesliga game of the season, a 3-0 defeat to Dortmund, and is expected to be out until mid-November.
Meanwhile, Tisserand has been brought in from FC Ingolstadt 04 on a season-long loan, after making 28 Bundesliga appearances for the relegated side last season.
“Marcel is a player that knows the Bundesliga and can help us immediately,” said Wolfsburg sporting director Olaf Rebbe.
Tisserand may make his Wolfsburg debut on Saturday when they travel to Eintracht Frankfurt.
