FC Bayern München midfielder Renato Sanches is hoping to earn more playing time with AC Milan as the clubs reportedly haggle over the deal.
The teenage Portugal international joined Bayern last year after shooting to prominence with Benfica and also impressing at international level on route to Euro 2016 victory.
But after failing to score in 17 Bundesliga appearances last season, Sanches is now hoping for a fresh start at San Siro.
"I'm not satisfied," he said. "Of course I would like to play more. This is why I want to join a club where I could get more playing time.
"Milan is an interesting option. If the opportunity arises and the clubs can agree, I would like to see them.
"I'm young, I want and I have to play a lot. I think the chance to do so is greater in Milan than in Munich."
The nature of the transfer, which could be a loan with an option or obligation to purchase, is currently being negotiated, according to Sky Sport Italia.
"I am now on tour with Bayern but after that, we will get together in Munich and hopefully find a solution," Sanches said after Bayern’s 3-2 win over Chelsea in Singapore on Tuesday.
