Both players were included in the list announced by the Philippine Football Federation (PFF) for next Tuesday's game at the Mong Kok Stadium.
Schrock is coming off the back of a tough season with Bundesliga outfit Hoffenheim although the club will be playing top-flight football again next season after recording a 5-2 aggregate win over Kaiserslautern in the relegation playoff, while Etheridge has spent the last few months as Fulham's second-choice goalkeeper behind Mark Schwarzer.
Brothers Manuel and Mike Ott, of Ingolstadt and 1860 Munich respectively, have also both been called up by German coach Michael Weiss, along with Ascot United defender Rob Gier.
Weiss has named just two out-and-out strikers in his squad in Loyola Meralco Sparks' Phil Younghusband and Javier Patino of Buriram United, although both have been in excellent form recently and showed signs of forming a good partnership in March's 2014 AFC Challenge Cup qualifiers.
However, Philippines have curiously named just two genuine defenders in Gier and Juan Luis Guirado, meaning the versatile likes of Carli de Murga and Jeffrey Christiaens are likely to be deployed at the back against Hong Kong.
