Adisak Kraisorn got Buriram off to a perfect start at the New I-Mobile Stadium when he opened the scoring after 15 minutes, before doubling his and his side's tally just three minutes later.
Philippines international Javier Patino netted his seventh goal of the season to make it 3-0 in the 26th minute, but Osotspa kept alive their hopes of a comeback when Lazarus Kaimbi opened his account for 2013 on the hour mark.
Nonetheless, the Thunder Castle always remained in control and wrapped up the three points five minutes from time when Spanish midfielder Juan Quero added a fourth.
The victory keeps Buriram two points behind leaders Muangthong United, who stayed top of the table with a 2-0 win over Police United.
It took the defending champions just three minutes to take the lead at the SCG Stadium when Dagno Siaka fired them ahead, but they struggled to kill off the contest until seven minutes from time, when the Ivorian grabbed his second of the game to make sure of the win.
Also a couple of points behind the leaders are Chonburi, who beat Chainat 2-1 over at Chainat Stadium.
Two minutes before the half-hour mark, the Sharks took the lead when Thiago Cunha met an excellent right-wing cross from Irfan Bachdim to score with a neat finish, but the hosts pulled level four minutes later when Thailand international Sumanya Purisay successfully converted a penalty.
However, Chainat's hopes were dealt a blow just before halftime when Tanongsak Promdard was sent off after picking up a second yellow for a rash challenge on Adul Lahso.
And right on the hour mark, Chonburi went on to grab all three points through a Fode Bangaly Diakite strike.
