Following consecutive losses in their opening nine games of the 2013 season, it seemed as though Air Force would face an uphill task to avoid relegation this year.
However, they picked up their first points of the campaign last Thursday with a 2-0 win over Manila Nomads, and backed that up at the Emperador Stadium on Saturday as they made it six points from two games by seeing off Army.
Following a goalless first half, Antonio Albor struck in the 74th minute with what ultimately proved to be the winner to take Air Force up to 9th and send their opponents bottom in the process.
Air Force will have a tough task to make it three in a row as they take on third-placed Loyola Meralco Sparks in their next game on Tuesday.
