Kim Young-gwon (35), Dario Conca (74) and Luiz Muriqui (90) were also on the scoresheet for Guangzhou with Changchun's reply coming from Ze Carlos with 20 minutes remaining.
Guangzhou's win lifts them onto 13 points from five games, two points behind leaders Shandong Luneng but having played a game less.
Shandong kept their place on top of the standings with a 3-1 home win over previously undefeated Liaoning.
All the goals were scored in the opening 26 minutes, with Wang Yongpo (one) and Leonardo Pisculichi (20 and 25) putting Shandong in complete control before Liaoning pulled one back through James Chamanga.
