After picking up wins in their opening four games of the campaign, Loyola's impressive form was briefly halted last Tuesday when they were held to a 1-1 draw by Kaya.

However, there were no such problems at the Emperador Stadium against the Nomads as they raced to a two-goal lead at the break; Mark Hartmann curling home a freekick in the 37th minute to open the scoring, before Chad Gould struck with a cracking volley four minutes later.

Four minutes after the hour mark, Hartmann doubled his tally before Simon Greatwich weighed in with a fourth five minutes later to all but kill off the contest.

And a minute from time, Phil Younghusband completed the rout when he grabbed his fourth goal of the season to round off an excellent night at the office for the Sparks.

The result was enough to send them top of the table, although Global and Stallion Sta. Lucia both have a game in hand and can overtake Vincent Santos' men on Thursday in their respective games against Philippine Air Force and Pachanga Diliman.

Kaya, runners-up last season, recorded a much needed 3-0 win over Philippine Army after picking up just five points from their opening five games prior to Tuesday's encounter.

Sean Iliff, who netted in last week's draw with Loyola, opened the scoring two minutes before the break when he stabbed home a cross from Alu Kigbu, before OJ Porteria netted with a curling effort to give his side a comfortable lead.

A minute into injury-time, substitute Janrick Soriano added a third to send up to fifth on the table.
