Padang opened the scoring in the 19th minute Edward Junior Wilson bundled the ball home from close range after Elie Aiboy had been left in acres of space down the right, and proceeded to drill the ball back across the face of goal.
Two minutes after the half-hour mark, Vendry Mofu powered his way past Shi Jiayi and Kazuyuki Toda before firing into the top corner to double the hosts' lead, but Warriors pulled one back three minutes before halftime when Tatsuro Inui found space on the edge of the area and lashed home a powerful effort.
Nonetheless, Padang went on to wrap up all three points four minutes from time after Titus Bonai broke free down the left and chipped the ball over the onrushing Hassan Sunny, leaving Nur Iskandar with the simplest of headers from four yards out.
Over in Group F, Maldives' New Radiant recorded an impressive 1-0 win over Sunray Cave JC Sun Hei.
The only goal of the game came in the 67th minute when Ashfaq Ali tore down the left and slid a terrific pass to the rampaging Umair Mohamed, who made no mistake in planting his shot past Zhang Chunhui to hand his side all three points.
