Having recorded victories over Green Archers United, Manila Nomads and Pasargad in their opening three games, Brian Reid's charges headed into the game at the Emperador Stadium high on confidence and duly took the lead in the 27th minute through a Ben Starosta strike.
Five minutes after the half-hour mark, Philippines international Misagh Bahadoran doubled Global's tally with a stunning volley before Jeffrey Christiaens got in on the act by adding a third in the 50th minute.
Christiaens then doubled his tally 15 minutes before the break, before goals in the final three minutes from Matthew Uy and Marvin Angeles wrapped up an impressive triumph for the champions.
Kaya, who finished runners-up behind Global last season, continued their miserable start to the season as they were defeated 2-1 by ten-man Stallion Sta. Lucia, and have now picked up just four points from their opening four games.
Following a goalless first half, it was Stallion who broke the deadlock in the 47th minute through Reuben Doctora, before defender Bervic Italia doubled their lead 10 minutes after the hour mark.
Janrick Soriano pulled one back for Kaya three minutes from time but it proved to be too little too late as their opponents held on for all three points to move level with Global on 12 points.
