Del Piero scores as Sydney beat Brisbane
Alessandro Del Piero scored the opening goal as Sydney FC won 2-1 against AFC Champions League hopefuls Brisbane Roar in the A-League.
Del Piero opened the scoring after seven minutes only for Besart Berisha to draw Brisbane level from the penalty spot on the stroke of half-time.
But Peter Triantis scored the winner after 69 minutes to secure three points for Sydney.
The win moves Sydney up to sixth in the table with Brisbane, who face Thailand's Buriram United in a crucial AFC Champions League play-off on Wednesday, third bottom.
