Stallion's Spanish import Rufinho Sanchez opened the scoring at the Rizal Memorial Stadium a minute before the half-hour mark when he fired home after cleverly bringing the ball down on his chest, before Prince Boley made it 2-0 nine minutes later after latching onto a pass from Reuben Doctora.

The Archers pulled one back two minutes into the second half when Jovanie Simpron finished clinically against his former side after a neat layoff by Arnie Pasinabo, but Park Bo-bae wrapped up the win for Stallion in the 67th minute when he added a third after good work from Rufinho.

However, there was no such luck for giants Kaya as they were beaten 1-0 by Pachanga Diliman in the day's second game.

Kaya, who finished as runners-up last season behind champions Global, were expected to be too good for their opponents in their clash at the Rizal Memorial Stadium.

However, it was Pachanga who went on to grab all three points in the 29th minute when Guam international Jason Cunliffe netted what proved to be the winner as he slotted past Saba Garmaroudi from the spot, after Dario Dakic had conceded a penalty.
