Al Jeish climb higher in Qatar
Adriano was on target as Al Jeish leapfrogged Qatar SC into fourth place in the Qatari League with a 1-0 victory.
The Brazilian striker scored what proved to be the winner in the 32nd minute, before Qatar's Qusay Munir and Al Jeish's Nayef Al Khater both saw red late on.
Sebastian Soria scored twice as Al Khor ran out 3-1 winners at Umm Salal.
Ali Afif got the visitors off the mark in the 23rd minute and Soria doubled their advantage from the penalty spot two minutes before the break.
The Uruguay-born striker made the points safe in the 67th minute before Everaldo Cabore scored a consolation goal for Umm Salal seven minutes from time.
Elsewhere, a Diego Tardelli hat-trick guided Al Gharafa to a comfortable 3-0 win over struggling Al Sailiya.
