Bani Yas hold Al-Ahly Dubai to draw
Al-Ahly Dubai and Bani Yas missed out on the opportunity to move up into second in the UAE League following a goalless draw on Monday.
Bani Yas could have moved above Al-Nasr and just one point behind leaders Al-Ain with a victory but failed to make the breakthrough at Al-Ahly Dubai, who would have needed a 2-0 triumph to move up two places to second.
Ajman moved away of the relegation zone as they came from behind to see off fellow strugglers Al-Sha'ab 3-1.
Michael Laurent N'dri put the visitors ahead in the 13th minute but Salem Obaid scored on the half hour before second-half goals from Founeke Sy (60) and Boris Kabi (78) sealed Ajman's second win of the season.
Al-Jazira also had to come from a goal down to edge past Al-Shabab 2-1.
Luiz Henrique gave lowly Al-Shabab a 13th-minute lead but Ali Al-Meri levelled matters in the 65th minute before Ahmed Jumaa completed the comeback for Al-Jazira in the closing stages.
