Del Piero on target in Sydney win
Alessandro Del Piero was on target as Sydney FC beat Perth Glory 2-1 in the A-League on Sunday.
The Italian veteran converted a 58th-minute penalty to level the scores after Glory had go in front through Travis Dodd (18) and then had Steve Pantelidis sent off (57).
Brett Emerton grabbed the winner for Sydney in the 70th minute as the hosts joined their opponents on six points.
In the day's other game, Pedj Bojic's 51st-minute striker earned Central Coast Mariners a 1-0 win at Melbourne Heart.
