The Red Warriors have already won the Super League and FA Cup this season and can complete the domestic treble if they emerge triumphant at the Shah Alam Stadium this weekend, a feat only Kedah have done back in 2007 and 2008.
Understandably, the mood at the Sultan Mohammad IV Stadium is relatively upbeat ahead of Saturday's clash and Fahmi admits victory would be the perfect way to cap off what has been an excellent campaign.
"I am very grateful that Kelantan are in the final of the Malaysia Cup and I am very excited for the match," he told ESPNSTAR.com in an exclusive interview.
"The team has been preparing well ahead of the match. Like me, the players are all excited as we are a step away from creating history by winning the treble.
"It has been a great year for us and we would like to end it well."
While many have already installed Bojan Hodak's charges as favourites to win, Fahmi is however certain they will face a stern challenge in ATM, who will be playing in the Super League next season after finishing as champions of the Super League earlier this year.
"Even though ATM are a Premier League team, we can't take them easily," the Malaysia international added. "They have many experienced star players and I don't think they will give us an easy game in the final.
"It will be a tough game no doubt, but I believe in my team and we have what it takes to win the Cup. I hope the fans will give us their full support this Saturday."
Following the final, Fahmi will turn his attention to next month's AFF Suzuki Cup, where he is almost certain to be included in K. Rajagopal's squad.
