Lions squad named for Vietnam event
Singapore have named a 20-man squad for the upcoming Youth Newspaper Cup, which will be held in Vietnam from October 13 to 21.

The competition, which will pit some of Southeast Asia's best Under-21 sides against one another, will also involve Malaysia, Thailand, Laos, the Vietnam Youth Newspaper Team and Sydney FC on the Hyundai A-League.
Singapore U-21 coach Robin Chitrakar has expectedly named a large number of players from his Courts Young Lions squad, eight members of the National Football Academy (NFA) U-18 side have also been called up.
Other up-and-coming stars currently plying their trade in the Great Eastern-YEO's S.League that will make the trip to Pleiku include exciting Geylang United duo Amy Recha and Basil Gerard Teo, and Hougang United defender Farhan Rahmat.

Goalkeepers: Zulfairuuz Rudy (NFA U-18s), Syazwan Buhari (Courts Young Lions)
Defenders: Farhan Rahmat (Hougang United), Sufianto Salleh (Courts Young Lions), Syafiq Iderus, Faris Azienuddin, Shannon Stephen, Tajeli Salamat (all NFA U-18s)
Midfielders: Anumanthan Mohan Kumar, Rihdo Jefri (both NFA U-18s), Faris Ramli, Nazrul Nazari, Shamil Sharif, Faiz Salleh, Zulfahmi Arifin (all Courts Young Lions), Basil Gerard Teo (Geylang United)
