With the Turtles' hopes of qualifying for the quarter-finals of the Malaysia Cup firmly in the balance, the weekend's game presented the perfect chance to pick up three valuable points against the recently-relegated Kedah.
And with his side leading 1-0 courtesy of a brilliant first-half freekick from Francis Forkey Doe, Butler could only watch on in horror in the 62nd minute as his custodian handed their opponents an equaliser when he helped guide a harmless corner kick from Baddrol Bakhtiar into the back of the net under no apparent pressure.
The clearly-irate Englishman immediately replaced Sharbinee with Sharmiza Yusof and could be seen furiously remonstrating with his player, before giving the Malaysia international a shove in the back as he made his way to the dressing room.
Having already declared both Muslim Ahmad and Ismail Faruqi Asha'ri will not play under him again after the duo broke team rules last week, Butler revealed Sharbinee had been added to that list.
"That was just wrong what the goalkeeper did," he told the New Straits Times.
"I said earlier that Ismail and Muslim will not play for this team as long as I am the team coach and it is safe to say that Sharbinee will no longer play for this team too.
"What we need are honest players who are willing to work hard for the team and if it means we have to play our next game with eleven President's Cup players, so be it."
Terengganu, who are now third in Group B, will be looking to bounce back on Tuesday when they entertain ATM, although they will also be without Doe, who received a red card last Saturday after elbowing Kedah defender Sabre Mat Abu.
