Western Sydney, who are currently embarking on their maiden season in Australian football's top flight, made the announcement on Monday that they had signed Kresinger, an experienced striker, and 22-year-old midfielder Poljak from HNK Cibalia and Dinamo Zagreb respectively.
Wanderers coach Tony Popovic revealed both players had been on the club's radar for awhile now, and expected them to do well at the Parramatta Stadium.
"It's great to have the guys here," he said in an official statement. "They are two guys that we have monitored for awhile.
"Dino is someone that is the ultimate professional, he's been in the game for a long time and wants to do well in Australia.
"Mateo is very technical and he has high aspirations to perform well in Australia. He sees this as a great challenge for him to have, and [to] be out of his comfort zone is something that he is looking forward to."
The signing of the duo means Wanderers now have 15 players in their squad, including Lebanon international Tarek Elrich, who was born and bred in Sydney.
Still, Popovic is expected to make a few more signings before the start of the season, including that of a marquee player.
