The Red Warriors, who have already won the Malaysia FA Cup and Super League this season, were handed a tough draw in the group stages of the Malaysia Cup after being pitted against arch-rivals Terengganu, Premier League champions ATM and Kedah.

And while he admits they have been handed a tricky route to the quarter-finals, Hodak insists his side have what it takes to go all the way.

"We got a tough draw in the Malaysia Cup but we are the [league] champions and I believe we can win the competition," the Croatian told The Star.

"We'll have to play against the tougher and better teams sooner or later, so meeting them early in the group stage shouldn't make any difference.

"I have always said that to be champions, you need to beat the best teams and we are ready to take on all comers."

Hodak also revealed he has concerns over the fitness of goalkeeper Khairul Fahmi Che Mat, striker Norshahrul Idlan Talaha, anchorman Shakir Shaari and defender S. Subramaniam.

Kelantan kick off their campaign on August 22 against Terengganu at the Sultan Ismail Nasiruddin Shah Stadium.
