Things were looking promising for the Uzbeks early on as they took the lead through Temurkhodja Abdukholiqov in the 32nd minute.

However, three goals in the final eight minutes, including a brace from Odai Khader, saw Jordan grab all three points to finish top of the group with 12 points.

Nonetheless, the result was enough for Uzbekistan to go through as they narrowly pipped Yemen to second spot on goals scored, despite the Yemenis recording a 5-1 win over Bangladesh earlier in the day.

Bangladesh ended the qualifying campaign pointless after four consecutive losses, while Nepal finished fourth after picking up one win and three losses.
