Having been defeated 2-1 by Philippine Air Force Phoenix just two days ago, Loyola knew only a win would suffice if they were to keep up with leaders Kaya and second-placed Global at the top of the table.

Following a goalless first half at the Rizal Memorial Football Stadium, the Sparks went ahead in the 48th minute when Mark Hartmann received the ball from Phil Younghusband and fired home the opener.

And while Nomads defender David Denison equaliser shortly after from the spot in the 54th minute, Loyola looked set to claim all three points after Younghusband put them ahead again in the 70th minute.

Nonetheless, it was not to be as Denison grabbed his second right at the death to salvage a share of the spoils for his side and leave Kim Chul-su's men three points behind Kaya.

With just one game left to play, Loyola must beat Global and hope both they and Kaya lose their remaining matches for the Sparks to be crowned league champions.
