J.League leaders Vegalta thump Nagoya

Vegalta Sendai were comfortable 4-0 winners over Nagoya Grampus Eight on Saturday to move five points clear at the top of the J.League.

The home side were ahead after 38 minutes through Yong Gi Ryang with a Takahiro Masukawa own goal doubling their tally before the interval.

Late strikes from Wilson and Naoki Sugai then made sure of the points.

Sanfrecce Hiroshima climbed up to second with a last-gasp 3-2 victory over Vissel Kobe.

Hiroki Mizumoto gave Sanfrecce a 13th-minute lead but that was overturned by goals from Takuya Nozawa (76) and Ryota Morioka (81).

However, Naoki Ishihara levelled matters three minutes later before a last-minute strike from Ryota Moriwaki snatched the win.

Shimizu S-Pulse dropped to third with a 1-0 loss at Urawa Red Diamonds, Yuki Abe scoring the only goal three minutes before the interval.

Basement side Consadole Sapporo found themselves on the wrong end of a 7-0 drubbing in their match with Kashima Antlers.

Daiki Iwamasa, Yuya Osako, Kazuya Yamamura, Shinzo Koroki, Masashi Motoyama, Juninho and Yasushi Endoh all hit the target.

Jubilo Iwata were also big winners on Saturday, beating Albirex Niigata 6-1.

Ryoichi Maeda scored twice for the visitors, with Yuki Kobayashi, Byung-Kuk Cho, Takuya Matsuura and Hiroki Yamada also on the scoresheet.

Kobayashi also scored at the other end for Albirex's only reply.

Goals from Leandro and Junya Tanaka earned Kashiwa Reysol a 2-1 victory over Cerezo Osaka, who went ahead through Everton.

Kawasaki Frontale beat Omiya Ardija 2-0 with second-half strikes from Ryota Oshima and Jumpei Kusukami.

The match between Yokohama F. Marinos and Gamba Osaka finished goalless.
