At the Jalan Besar Stadium, league leaders LIONSXII romped to a 5-0 win over PKNS to avenge their 1-0 loss in Selangor to the same side on Saturday.
Three goals in nine minutes from the home side within the half hour mark virtually ended the match as a contest, with Safuwan Baharudin, Shaiful Esha and Sevki Sha'Ban getting on the scoresheet.
Striker Agu Casmir scored his first goals of the season in the second half, netting in the 53rd and 87th minute as V Sundramoorthy's men bounced back from Saturday's defeat in spectacular fashion.
Second-placed Kelantan, who're five points behind LIONSXII having played three games less, survived an almighty scare against T-Team at the Sultan Ismail Nasiruddin Shah Stadium in Terengganu.
Rozi Mamat charges took the lead early in the second-half before Suppiah Chanturu equalised for the defending champions 15 minutes later. And just when it looked like Kelantan would be held to a second successive 1-1 draw by the same side, Mohammed Ghaddar scored from the penalty spot to hand them all three points.
Third-placed Terengganu got no such last-gasp salvation against Negri Sembilan despite league top-scorer Francis Forkey Doe giving his side the lead as early as the fifth minute. Effa Owona equalised for the home side soon after and despite a lot of huffing and puffing, Teregganu simply could not find a winner.
Kedah FA went further clear of relegation zone with a 2-0 away win over Serawak thanks to twin strikes from Vedran Gerc. Johor's defeat to Selangor, Bosko Balaban at the double for The Red Giants, means Kedah are now four points clear of the drop on 16 points.
Basement boys Kuala Lumpur continued to struggle, going down 1-0 to Felda United FC thanks to Antoine-Curier's 56th minute strike.
Finally, there was a thriller in Ipoh as Perak and Sabah battled to a 2-2 draw. Michal Kubala scored his seventh goal of the season to give Perak the lead but goals from Zainizam Marjan either side of the break looked to have settled the game in Sabah's favour.
However, Kubala popped up again in the fourth minute of injury time with his eighth of the season to rescue a point for his side.
