Pero Pejic had put the visitors ahead in the 20th minute but it was all square after Andrea Reinaldo's 59th-minute penalty.

Al-Faysali retook the lead with Bader Al Kharabsi's strike in the 73rd minute and he added a second 10 minutes later to wrap up the points before Dario Jertec's last-minute goal added an exclamation mark.

Victor Simoes scored a first-half brace, both from the penalty spot, as Al-Ahly beat Al-Nasr 2-0, while Al-Qadissiyyah enjoyed a 3-0 away win over Al-Ansar.

They took the lead through an own goal from Al Khodair Turky in the 20th minute and Uche Agba's penalty doubled the lead on the stroke of half-time.

Hadj Bougueche added the third with three minutes to go.
