Al Ain confirm Al Qahtani signing

UAE giants Al Ain have sealed a major transfer coup by landing Saudi Arabia star Yasser Al Qahtani on loan from Al Hilal.

The captains in a tussle.

Al Qahtani, who claimed the AFC Player of the Year in 2007, scored eleven goals in the last Saudi Professional League campaign as Al Hilal cruised to title.

On the other hand, Al Ain finished 10th in UAE's Pro-League, but have already invested heavily during the off-season, bringing in Ignacio Scocco and Mirel Radoi.

The 28-year-old brings along with him a wealth of experience, having scored 44 goals in 87 caps for the Saudi national team, whom he also captains.

Al Ain are one of the more prestigious teams in the UAE, having won nine league titles and five President Cup titles, as well as the 2003 AFC Champions League.
