Trailing 1-0 from the first leg, it took the Thunder Castle just five minutes to open the scoring at the New I-Mobile Stadium when Kai Hirano found the back of the net, before Osmar Ibanez doubled their tally when he converted a penalty in the 17th minute.
Two minutes after the half-hour mark, Buriram went 3-1 up on aggregate when Anawin Jujeen struck, and the result was all but secured when captain Suchao Nutnum added a fourth.
But the hosts were not done and rounded off the scoring in the 72nd minute after Jesus Berrocal netted, capping off a fine display from the Thai Premier League leaders.
Buriram will now meet Ratchaburi in the final after they progressed on away goals following a 1-1 aggregate draw with Nakhon Ratchasima.
After both sides had played out a 0-0 draw in last month’s opening encounter, it was Ratchaburi who broke the deadlock at the 5th December Stadium when Jhon Obregon scored.
Korat did equalise three minutes after the hour mark through a Noah Chivuta effort but they were unable to find a second, allowing to visitors to hold on and book their place in the final.
The final will take place on November 23 at the Thai Army Sports Stadium.
