A day after being overtaken by Bangkok Glass, who claimed a 4-1 victory over Pattaya United, the War Elephants opened the scoring at the Suphanburi Municipality Stadium when Napat Thamrongsupakorn netted his first goal since returning to the club in the 40th minute.
But it took them until the 88th minute before they wrapped up the three points when ex-Thailand international Sutee Suksomkit added a second, although just for good measure, Dragan Boskovic made it 3-0 in injury-time to cap off a fine evening for the hosts.
Chainat ended a three-game winless run at the Khao Plong Stadium after beating Ratchaburi 2-0.
Thailand midfielder Sumanya Purisay broke the deadlock when he fired the hosts ahead in the 17th minute, before Somjet Sattabud struck in the fourth minute of injury-time to seal the victory for his side.
Finally, Army United also got back to winning ways after seeing off a gritty Songkhla United side with a 2-1 triumph at the Tinsulanon Stadium.
The visitors had taken a 24th-minute lead when Tossawat Limwanasthian found the back of the net, but Songkhla pulled level on the stroke of halftime through a strike from Atitat Juimanee.
But right on the hour mark, Aron da Silva netted his ninth goal of the campaign - and fourth since joining the club from Songkhla - to hand Army all three points.
