Despite already boasting one of the strongest squad in Philippine football's premier division, Global have moved to add more firepower to their side after confirming the double signing on their official website on Wednesday evening.
Rufinho, who recently joined the club on a one-month loan and helped them progress to the semi-finals of the RHB Singapore Cup with a 5-4 aggregate win over DPMM FC, was available on a free transfer after his contract with reigning UFL champions Stallion expired.
The Spaniard's 18 goals fired Stallion to the league crown last season, earning him both the Golden Ball and Golden Boot awards as the competition's best player and top scorer respectively.
He will also be joined at the club by Guirado, who last played for Global in 2012 and was part of the side that won the league title that year.
Global owner Dan Palami was quick to express his delight at the double capture as the club prepares for a busy season ahead.
"We are happy to have secured their services as Global prepare for tough tournaments here and overseas," he said on the club's official website.
Global also confirmed they are working on signing Philippines international Paul Mulders, who was left looking for a new club after being released by Dutch side ADO Den Haag and initially joined the club on a short-term deal for the Singapore Cup quarters against DPMM.
