Binya to take Assou-Ekotto's place
Cameroon have moved quickly to replace Benoit Assou-Ekotto with Gilles Augustin Binya ahead of the African Cup of Nations.
The Tottenham defender was ruled out for three weeks after suffering a groin strain in a Premier League match against West Ham last Monday.
His replacement Binya is a 25-year-old defensive midfielder who plays his club football with Swiss side Neuchatel Xamax where he is on-loan from Benfica.
Cameroon have been grouped with Gabon, Tunisa and Zambia and open their 2010 African Cup of Nations tournament against Gabon on 13 January 2010.
