History will be made at this year's Suzuki Cup after both Singapore and Thailand made it to the final, meaning either one of them will win Southeast Asia's biggest international prize for a record fourth time.

The Lions were the first to progress from the semi-finals after beating Philippines 1-0 on aggregate courtesy of a Khairul Amri strike in the second leg at the Jalan Besar Stadium.

Thailand, on the other hand, saw off defending champions Malaysia 3-1 on aggregate, beating them 2-0 in the return encounter at the Suphachalasai Stadium thanks to goals from Teerasil Dangda and Theerathon Bunmathan, after both sides had played out a 1-1 draw in the first leg.
