Germany legend Miroslav Klose believes compatriot Antonio Rudiger will improve rapidly under the guidance of Chelsea manager Antonio Conte.
Rudiger recently signed for the Blues as part of Conte’s plan to shore up his defence ahead of the new season, and Klose is eager to see how the centre-back develops at Stamford Bridge.
"One thing that's good for Rudiger at Chelsea is that he is playing under Antonio Conte, who is a phenomenal coach," the 2014 World Cup winner told ESPN FC. "This will definitely help his development.
"It's huge for the national team as well because he's got talent, and he's got all the skills. He just maybe needs a bit of time to make the next step but he can be very valuable for the German national team."
The 24-year-old completed his move from Roma earlier this month after spending only one season in Italy.
