VfL Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder Tobias Strobl is optimistic about the new season and believes the team are heading in the right direction under Dieter Hecking.
Die Fohlen lost their pre-season friendly against Nurnberg 2-1 on Sunday after Eduard Lowen and Hanno Behrens found the back of the net for the hosts, negating Zakaria’s opener.
However, Strobl is confident that Gladbach are on the right track with Hecking at the helm and that it bodes well for the new campaign.

“We’re doing pretty well in terms of fitness and I think that we’re ready to bring our A-game to the pitch for 90 minutes,” the 27-year-old told the club’s official website.
“Sure, the pre-season is tiring, and you could see that in the game against Nurnberg. That wasn’t a good game for us, but in spite of that we’re on the right track. We’ve done what the manager has demanded of us.”
