Inter Milan have announced that Ever Banega has returned to Sevilla just 12 months after leaving the Spanish club to ply his trade in Italy.
The Argentina international joined the Nerazzurri on a free transfer in 2016 after two seasons at Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan, during which they won back-to-back Europa League titles.
Banega made 28 appearances in Serie A, contributing six goals and six assists in a difficult campaign for the Milan giants, who underwent a couple of managerial changes before finishing in seventh place.

But the 29-year-old no longer features in new Inter head coach Luciano Spalletti’s future plans. As such, he has been allowed to negotiate a return to Los Rojiblancos on a three-year deal.
The Nerazzurri confirmed the transfer in a statement.
"After the two clubs reached an agreement on Tuesday 27 June, Ever Banega's switch to Sevilla is now officially complete."
