England manager Gareth Southgate has praised Tottenham full-back Kieran Trippier, claiming that he is one of the best crossers of the ball in the Premier League.
Trippier has been called up to the Three Lions squad for their upcoming games against Scotland and France, with the 26-year-old still looking for his England debut.
The right-back's stock has risen at Spurs, seeing him preferred to Kyle Walker eight out of the last 10 Premier League games of the season, and Southgate believes it may be due to his attacking qualities.
Southgate said, according to the Evening Standard: "Kieran impressed me at Burnley in the season they had in the Premier League when he was there and I think he has finished the season very well with Tottenham.
“His play in the final third is of very high quality, he is one of the best crossers of the ball in the league.”
