Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has vowed that he will not make any mistakes in his second season at the club.
Mourinho was appointed as Louis van Gaal’s successor before the beginning of the season, and the immediate optimism was halted when the Portuguese mentor was faced with the reality of the task that lay ahead.
And, despite difficulties in the league, Mourinho has already secured his first piece of silverware for the season, and the club could win a second trophy when they take on Ajax Amsterdam in the final of the Europa League next week.

“I try to analyse the realities before I arrived in the club, but you only know the reality when you are inside,” Mourinho was quoted by Omnisport.
“The first season is hard. I enjoy the second because in the second I know I’m not making mistakes.
“You think you know the players, but you don’t. You only know them when you have them in good moments and bad moments. The one I really enjoy to do is the transition from the first to the second season,” said Mourinho.
The former Real Madrid, Inter Milan and Chelsea manager went on to reveal that he had the board’s backing as he looked to make further additions to strengthen the squad for next season.
“There is work to be done on the Manchester squad. The good thing is the club knows, the board knows and we are together on this process.”
