Borussia Dortmund defender Neven Subotic will attempt to get his career back on track during a loan spell at fellow German side Cologne.
Two-time Bundesliga winner Subotic has endured an injury-hit two seasons at Dortmund, with the 28-year-old recently undergoing surgery on a rib problem.
But the Serbian international – who has been limited to games for Dortmund’s second string – will get a chance to play regular first-team football until the summer at seventh placed Bundesliga outfit Cologne.

“Recently it has not been easy for him. We are convinced that Neven Subotic can become an important player for our team for the next six months.”
Subotic had been granted permission to leave Dortmund during the summer and he was linked with a move to the Premier League, but he remained at the club.
