Crystal Palace striker Connor Wickham could be out for some time after manager Alan Pardew confirmed the knee injury he picked up against Swansea is serious.
The 23-year-old was stretchered off the park early in the second half following a robust challenge and was later seen leaving the Liberty Stadium on crutches with his leg in a brace.
"It's a tough day for us. Connor looks like he has got a serious injury," Pardew revealed after the game.
"It's serious. We just have to wait and see on the scan. It's too early to say.
"The injury to Connor shifted the momentum once more. The seven minutes that he was getting treated proved to be costly for us as well. Then it went into a crazy period."
The news will be a bitter pill to swallow for the Eagles faithful, after watching their side ship two injury time goals to lose the enthralling encounter 5-4.
The result will only increase the pressure on the already under-fire Pardew, as Palace slipped closer to the relegation zone and now find themselves level on points with Hull City in 18th.
While the victory for the Swans lifted them off the foot of the table, but they remain in trouble in 19th.
