Paolo Rossi: Juventus ‘lacking brilliance’

Juventus legend Paolo Rossi feels his former club are short on quality and not hitting the kind of heights they should be capable of doing.

The Serie A champions opened their Champions League campaign with a 0-0 draw against Sevilla before losing 2-1 to Inter Milan, while they needed an own goal to beat Palermo 1-0 on Saturday.

Rossi feels the team has some way to go before realising their full potential, although he still sees Juve as the best club in Italy.

"It’s not so easy, neither can you automatically achieve everything," he told Radio Onda Libera

"On paper, they’re a notch above everyone else due to the potential of their squad. Juve have two quality teams, not just one. Now they must find balance.

"They lack brilliance. Even in the Champions League against Sevilla, they created several scoring chances but didn’t appear brilliant," added the former Bianconeri striker.
